Hi - Nice to meet you!   👋

I'm Dawnie, a Product Designer originally from San Francisco. I went to elementary, middle, and high school here. (Say that 3 times fast.) I started out as a software developer, then went back to school for design. Now, I’m focused on all things designs, with the occasional code dabbling on the side to keep me sharp.

I enjoy problem-solving, crafting experiences, and balancing that fine line between form & function. Forever learning and hacking my life, I seek to continually learn and improve from my experiences.

For the last several years, I’ve been hiding out in NYC, starting my design career at Braze (formerly Appboy) and had my most recent experience at Skedaddle. Throughout my design tenures, I’ve had the opportunity to upgrade and overhaul designs.

At this time, I have decided to move back to San Francisco to enjoy some West Coast sunshine once again. Outside of work, you can find me snowboarding, trying out new recipes, hiding in a coffee shop, or trying new hobbies — in no particular order.

• Fun Facts About Me

• My name is pronounced ‘Dawn’ - ‘nie’, as in ‘Donnie’ from ‘Donnie and Marie’. Some folks pronounce it ‘Downy’. I am not the fabric softener.

• I’m trying to learn skateboarding right now. To do this, I’m utilizing Josh Kaufman’s “The First 20 Hours: How to Learn Anything ... Fast”, where I decontruct a set of skills to practice and learn.

• I took 3rd place in a ProtoHack (a hackathon using prototypes instead of code). Pitching in front of a panel is daunting.
